Slow page load on first click to category, topic, or product page on v10

We are upgrading our Version 9 websites to Version 10.

Development for v10 is complete and the websites are being hosted from our staging server. We are using Legacy URL Mode. The problem we need help with is our website's home page is opening fine but the load time following the first click of any home page links to category, topic or product detail pages are taking around 38-45 seconds. Once this page loads all other pages are opening in 4-6 seconds. We've reviewed the performance logs and don't see any indication where the problem is.

Could you please advise where the problem might be causing the first click on home page links to take so much time? Is this due to Legacy URL mode? Or is this Asp.net version 4.5 issue? Could this be ASPDNSF Source Code, Sql Server or hosting problem?

Bill, is this on every page load or just the first load? Did you run the Monthly Maintenance after the upgrade?

Thank you,
Jan
